This announcement is IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) but rather a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) on project ideas. No other announcement of this opportunity will be made. The Joint Aircraft Survivability Program Office (JASPO), in support of the Joint Aircraft Survivability Program (JASP), is seeking ideas for aircraft survivability Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) projects. The aircraft survivability discipline is a diverse community with new technologies and ideas constantly emerging. This Request for Information (RFI) is an attempt to access those project ideas and involve organizations typically not part of the JASP community in the JASP FY08 program planning and coordination of aircraft survivability technologies across other Government RDT&E efforts. NAVAIRSYSCOM contracts POC will acknowledge receipt of the project idea package and forward to the appropriate JASPO subgroup technical point of contact (TPOC). The JASPO will review submitted packages for compatibility with the JASP mission. JASPO will, at their discretion, contact the submitter for further information and/or when a project idea is deemed of sufficient interest to the Government, the project lead (or their selected representatives) may be invited to brief the JASP Subgroup and/or the JASP Principle Member Steering Group (PMSG) on its project idea. You are required to follow the guidelines provided in the RFI posted at the below referenced website for the project idea package submittal instructions. This RFI does NOT warrant a contractual obligation from the Government. All sources may submit an abstract, which shall be evaluated. The complete copy of the RFI Number N00421-07-R-0011 and all attachments are available over the Internet and will reside on the NAVAIR Home Page located at: http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations. All abstracts regarding this RFI must be received by 3:00 PM, EST 31 December 2006 to Sabana Moore, Contract Specialist 2.5.1.3, Bldg. 441, NAWCAD, 21983 Bundy Road, Unit 7, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1127. All questions or concerns must be expressed in writing via email to Sabana Moore (sabana.moore@navy.mil). No telephone or FAX questions or concerns will be accepted. NOTE: Responses sought from US prospects only. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award and payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements for CCR may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423, or by accessing the CCR web site at http://ccr.dlsc.dla.mil or www.ccr2000.com. Also Contractors will be required to register for Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) for invoicing and payment by NAVAIR.
