Description

The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, CA intends to award a firm fixed price contract to AP Labs, 16868 Via Del Campo Ct., San Diego, California on a sole source basis. The purpose of this action is to procure seventy-seven (77) each of the AP Labs chassis, part number 5122810-1 and miscellaneous components. The chassis, part number 5122810-1, is proprietary to AP Lab. Use of any other contractor would result in substantial duplication of costs not recoverable through competition associated with re-engineering, design, manufacturing, and testing. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. See Note 22. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334111 and the size standard is 1,000 employees.
