Description
This announcement is hereby revised to specifically state that this announcement is also a Request For Quotes. All quotes are to be provided electronically to the attention of JoAnna Black at jblack@bnl.gov by noon (local time) by November 30, 2006. No extension for receipt of quotes will be made as this is an urgent requirement. In addition to providing past performance and previous history of similar products, all reputed manufacturing firms of DC-DC Converters and power supplies that can provide reverse engineering and/or failure analysis of current DC/DC converters in Brookhaven's possessions are to provide a quote for performing the following work: Phase I - Review and assessment of schematics, bill of materials, values, part numbers, gerber files, and artwork of inoperable power supplies; performing a failure analysis report that focuses on the design, manufacturing, and operability of inoperable power supplies. Phase II (Option Item)- Implementation of the corrective action and findings from the Failure Analysis Report on 2 power supply units that are to be tested at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Phase III (Option Item)- Implementation of the findings and corrective action from the failure analysis report on all remaining power supply units. It is estimated that this may be as many as 68 units. A best value award will be made as a result of this Request For Quotes. A demonstrated past performance in this type of reverse engineering and failure analysis will be the most important factor in making a best value award. Brookhaven reserves the right to make an award to other than the lowest priced offeror. A review of an existing power supply will be provided upon request and after approval from the Department of Physics. A best value award will be made as a result of this Request For Quotes. More than one award may be made as a result of this announement. All questions concerning this announcement are to be submitted in writing to the attention of JoAnna Black at jblack@bnl.gov. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted. THIS IS AN URGENT REQUIREMENT!!! Brookhaven Science Associates is seeking reputed manufacturing firms of DC-DC Converters and power supplies that can provide reverse engineering and/or failure analysis of current DC/DC Converters and Power Supplies in Brookhaven's possession. If interested and immediately available, please provide a profile of company,summary of technical capabilities, previous work history for performing reverse engineering and failure analysis, and estimated cost for performing reverse engineering and failure analysis. All questions concerning this requirement are to be submitted in writing to the attention of JoAnna Black at jblack@bnl.gov.
