Description: The Iowa National Guard wishes to contract for construction services for the repair of building 430 at the 132nd FW, Iowa Air National Guard Base, 3100 McKinley Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa. The work includes, but is not limited to, all materials, labor , tools, expendable equipment, utility and transportation services, and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete, in a workmanlike manner. The work includes selective demolition, sidewalks, concrete floor repairs, light gauge structural metal framing, new ADA assessable lift, concrete footings, concrete block partitions, miscellaneous structural steel, millwork, insulation, sealants, metal roofing, doors and windows, interior finishes, window treatments, plumbing systems, HVAC systems and elec trical service, lights, power and data. At a minimum, the work may require laborers, carpenters, masons, equipment operators, pipe fitters, cement finishers, electricians, sheet metal workers, welders, iron workers, painters, roofers, sprinkler fitters, f loor layers, glaziers, plumbers, and insulators. The construction period is 180 days after receipt of NTP. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236210, with a size standard of $28,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is b etween $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Award will be UNRESTRICTED and is being made pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Ref: FAR 19 (c)(2). All responsible firms may submit an of fer. The HUBZone preference IAW FAR 19.1307 applies. This project has been assigned Invitation for Bid (IFB) number, W912LP-07-B-0001. Interested offerors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Interested offerors are required to submit their representations and certifications on-line at http://orca.bpn.gov. The solicitation and associated information minus the plans and specifications will be available from the Iowa Electronic Business Solicitatio n (EBS) via LINKURL: http://216.81.179.134/ebs/advertisedsolicitations.asp. All contractors and subcontractors interested in this project must register at this site. The plans and specifications will be available only from the Federal Technical Data Solut ion (FedTeDS) website on-line at https://www.fedteds.gov/. For security reasons all potential offerors, plan rooms and printing companies a re required to register in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) and the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) in order to view or download the plans or drawings from the web site. The IFB will be available on or about 30 November 2006. It is the potential bidders responsibility to monitor the Guards Internet site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential bidders will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation, plans, specification, and amendments (if any). The bid opening will be on or about 10:00 a.m. on 9 January 2007, at the 132nd FW, Iowa Air National Guard, 3100 McKinley Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa. A pre-bid conference will be held on or about 18 December 2006 at 09:00 a.m. at the 132nd FW, Iowa Air Nationa l Guard, 3100 McKinley Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa.. All bidders should plan to attend.
