- SPARES: This will be a firm fixed price contract for the following item applicable to the UH-1 helicopter: NSN: 3120-00-954-6363GA, Bell Helicopter Textron P/N: 204-011-135-003, Noun: Bushing, Sleeve. This requirement is for a basic quantity of 964 ea and two annual Options. The two annual Options are for a quantity range of 1-455 ea. The proposed contract action is sole source to Bell Helicopter Textron Inc, Cage Code: 97499 and is limited to new material only/surplus not acceptable. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. While data is available, any interested company other than the approved source above would need to be pre-qualified to supply the item in accordance with the ?Source Approval Request? procedures. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. A copy of the solicitation will be posted at http://www.fbo.gov. The approximate solicitation issue date is 1-Dec-2006. The only US contractors who may participate are those that are certified and registered with DLSC (1-800-352-3572) and have a legitimate business purpose. US contractors must submit a copy of their current, approved DD Form 2345 with their request for solicitation. To request this certification, write to the Commander, Defense Logistics Services Center, ATTN: DLSC-FEB, Federal Center, Battle Creek MI 49017-3084 and request a copy of Department of Defense Form 2345 or call DLSC at the above number. The solicitation/data package will be mailed to the data custodian identified in block 3 of the DD Form 2345. The extent of foreign participation has not yet been determined. MOU country sources must contact the Contracting Officer within 15 calendar days of the date of this synopsis notice to receive a copy of the solicitation at the time it is initially issued. Issuance of the RFQ will not be delayed to review requests from MOU country sources received after 15 days or from non-MOU country sources. Nothing in this notice contradicts other restrictions, identified in the synopsis notice or solicitation, regarding eligible sources (e.g., if this is a small-business set-aside, foreign sources may not participate as potential prime contractors but could, if otherwise eligible, participate as subcontractors)Numbered note(s) 22 and 26 apply to this acquisition.
