Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City (NSWC-PC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Odim-Defense Systems of Johnstown, Pennsylvania for the procurement of installing Stacking Rings onto four (4) tow cables used with the MH-60S helicopter. This purchase is unsuitable for full and open competition for the following reasons: Odim-Defense Systems is the only known and qualified manufacturer capable of installing fairing and the stacking rings for the AN/AQS-20A tow cables. It is specially designed for the tow cable?s diameter and to meet the drag requirements of the towed system. The MH-60S handling system is specifically designed to interface with this fairing for size, shape, material and detailed configuration. Odim-Defense Systems has the unique capabilities and knowledge required to support this effort.
