- This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Pars 12 and 13. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2 THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL. VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL QUOTES/PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFQ/RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. The Air Force Technical Application Center (AFTAC), Patrick AFB, FL has a requirement for a variety of electrical wiring/cabling/splicing equipment/parts for a grounding project. The required equipment consist of the following items: (1) 18" x 18" x 0.125" Copper Ground Plate w/24" 1/10-19 Pigtail # 5155 Kit, quantity: 39 each; (2) 50lbs bag of Carbon Ground Enhancement Material #TF-50, quantity: 78 each; (3) Exothermic Weld Mold 1/0 to 1/0 cross #WXL1/0A-1/0A, quantity: 3 each; (4) Exothermic Weld Mold 1/0 to $ AWG butt splice #WXL1/0-4A, quantity: 2 each; (5) Exothermic Weld Mold 4 AWG to 4 AWG butt splice #WE4-4A, quantity: 1 each; and (6) Exothermic Weld Shot #150 #150G, quantity: 70 each. It is advertised with a Standard Industry Code (SIC) of 3643, business size of 50 employees and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 335931. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The solicitation No. FA2521-07-T-0040, will be issued electronically on or about 28 November 2006 at www.fbo.gov.
