- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. Extension of the BAMS UAS Presolicitation Conference Registration Period. In accordance with FAR 15.201, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) will host a Presolicitation Conference for the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) program on Wednesday, November 29, with Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, November 30, and Friday December 1, reserved for one-on-one meetings with potential prime contractors. The Presolicitation Conference and one-on-one meetings will be held at the J.T. Daugherty Center (29-30 November) California Maryland and the EG & G offices (1 December, if necessary) Exploration Park, California, Maryland. The BAMS UAS Presolicitation Conference is open to all interested parties. The Presolicitation conference attendance is not limited to only potential prime contractors. Potential sub-contractors are welcome. The BAMS UAS program office has extended the registration for the Presolicitation Conference to noon EST 27 November 2006. This extension only pertains to the Presolicitation Conference. The one-on-one discussions are still reserved for potential prime contractors only and registration is closed. The purpose of the Presolicitation Conference is to provide a status update on the BAMS program, brief Industry on the draft Request For Proposal, review the objectives of the Performance Based System Specification (PBSS), highlight areas of interest, and review proposal evaluation requirements. A question and answer period will be held at the conclusion of the Presolicitation Conference briefings. All questions will be written on forms that will be provided at conference check-in. The Government will attempt to answer questions at the Presolicitation Conference in an open forum. All questions the Government answers will be posted on http://uav.navair.navy.mil Please be advised that the Government intends to publish all names, phone numbers, and email addresses of industry attendees. All Presolicitation Conference briefs will be posted on http://uav.navair.navy.mil. Check in will begin at 0730 and end at 0830. The Presolicitation Conference will begin promptly at 0830 and concludes at approximately 1130. Attire is business casual. To pre-register for the BAMS Presolicitation Conference, email Clare Carmack at clare.carmack@navy.mil, and Chantelle Kern at chantelle.kern.ctr@navy.mil. The subject line of your email response should read: BAMS Presolicitation Conference. Responses must include the attendee's full name, company, address, phone number and email address. Registration by telephone will not be accepted. All discussions will be unclassified. A confirmation email will be sent. The deadline for submitting completed Presolicitation Conference registration requests is noon EST 27 November 2006. Due to limited seating, late registration and walk-ins will not be accepted. If after registration you are unable to attend this event, please inform Clare Carmack via e-mail by 27 Nov 2006 including substitution information if applicable. This announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Navy will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by any attendees or for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore, the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
