- Description
- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR SCANNING CONFOCAL LASER MICROSCOPE. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions. The due date for receipt of offers IS NOT extended. 1. Identify the final placement/destination of the Scanning Confocal Laser Microscope. NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA. 2. Can you provide more detailed information concerning the "analysis of contrast and elevation data". What specific analysis data is requested? Can this be accomplished with an additional software package? The provided software shall be capable of performing stitching of any contrast or elevation data that is generated through the acquisition software through multi-imaging. Analysis of the elevation data must include the presentation of 3D and 2D topographical representations with the ability of the user to specify any x or y slice of the elevation for the 2D representation. Analysis to provide height of features (min, max, mean, standard deviation, surfaces roughness) and area / volume of features. The analysis and stitching software can be provided as separate software packages, but the tagged information with the images shall provide adequate information for the analysis software to produce absolute values and not just scaled values. Additionally, all images for stitching shall be easily selectable by the user and the user should not have to select each image individually for inclusion into the stitching software and the tagged image information shall be sufficient for the software to automatically place each image into the correct location for stitching. 2.4.1 Image stitching software A software package for stitching of multiple images (contrast and elevation) shall be provided. 2.4.2 Topographical analysis software A software package for the analysis of elevation data shall be provided. This software shall perform computations to determine height of features, surface roughness, surface area and volume of features. Analysis shall be performed on single image sets and stitched data set. The topographical data shall be easily selectable through a user interface and report data shall be easily provided to the user. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (21-NOV-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
