Description
(1) The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement for Repair, Upgrade, and Modification of Trailer Mounted Wash Cart Systems, Model55FT5818B MOD D, estimated quantity of 58. This equipment was manufactured by S C C S Inc. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Agency intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price blanket purchase agreement with S C C S, Inc. located in New Brockton, AL. Performance period will be for a base peri od of twelve months and four (4) 12-months option periods. The basis for restricting competition is that S C C S, Inc. is the manufacturer of this equipment and is believed to be the only source that can repair this equipment to the original equipment man ufacturer standards. NAICS code for this procurement is 333999 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, and awar ded on an unrestricted basis. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days fro m the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Numbered Note 22. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with S C C S Inc.. Responses are due not later than 11 December 2006, 3:00 p.m. (CST).
