- The US Army TACOM-Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce, Picatinny, NJ anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the production of the FMU 153/B Point Detonating (PD)/Delay Fuze. The RFP will be for a firm-fixed price base year contract plus three (3) one-year options, for a total of four (4) production years covering FY07-FY10. An Other than Full and Open Competition contracting strategy will be used to restrict competition to United States and Canada in order to maintain the required domestic capability for production of critical ammunition and to make it available in the event of national emergency. The FMU 153/B Fuze Purchase Description, AR-PD-125 will be available with the RFP when issued. The proposed quantity requirements are as follows: 19,000-26,000 fuzes for the basic requirement plus 100% option quantities. The Request for Proposal (RFP) shall be available electronically at the following Internet address: http://procnet.pica.army.mil on or about 15 days from the date of this announcement. The deadline for all proposals will be 30 days after issuance of the RFP.
