- This Is A Sources Sought Announcement Only For Purposes Of Conducting Market Research. There Is No Solicitation Available At This Time. Requests For A Solicitation Will Not Receive A Response. The Southern Region Contracting Center-East, Fort McP herson, Georgia is conducting market research to determine the extent to which small businesses are capable of performing as prime contractors for a multifunctional requirement to provide Senior Mentor/Greybeard type training support to US military, other DOD and Federal Government agency personnel in support of Theater Specific Individual Readiness Training and Pre-Deployment or Post-Mobilization training in accordance with the Army Force Generation model ARFORGEN. ARFORGEN is the means to generate capa ble conventional forces to meet Regional Combatant Commanders requirements. This contract will be designed to support United States Army Reserve and Army National Guard command headquarters throughout the First Army Area of Operations but may also be used to support the Active Component. The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System code for this acquisition is 541611, small business size standard is $6.5 Million. The Government will not reimburse any concern for any information that is submitted in response to this Sources Sought request. Any information submitted is voluntary. Interested business concerns are invited to provide a capabilities statement demonstrating ability to perform the following: Capability 1. The capability to p erform overall responsibility to the site COR for contract compliance and overall performance of Senior Mentors; Capability 2. Provide competent functional area expert, with similar experiences at the same or higher levels within the military as the senior commander being exercised in the Battle Staff Training cycle; Capability 3. Supervise Senior Mentor Management activities, ensuring that they support specific training events and exercises during the Battle Staff Training Cycle under ARFORGEN; Capability 4. Coordinate closely with First US Army to designate, by each Battle Staff Training Cycle the minimum level of General Officers acceptable to cover the respective cycle events. It is anticipated that a significant number of Battle Staff Training Cycles w ill require a Two-Star or Three-Star level Senior Mentor; and Capability 5. Maintain accountability of Senior Mentors and report hours worked. Indicate whether interested business concern is small, small disadvantaged, 8a, woman owned, service disabled ve teran, HubZone or any other socio-economic group. All interested business concerns are required to respond to this sources sought announcement via email. Responses shall not exceed 10 pages and must include company point of contact, email address, teleph one number and fax number. The information provided in response to this sources sought will be used to finalize the acquisition strategy for this requirement. If it is determined that responses received from small businesses do not address all the requir ed capabilities stated above, the final acquisition strategy may provide for this requirement to be competed on a full and open basis. Large business concerns are not prohibited from responding to this announcement; however, information submitted from lar ge businesses may not be used if an adequate number of small businesses demonstrate an ability to perform all tasks stated above.
