Description
STARS Upgrade, Corpus Christi (CRP), Harlingen (HRL), McAllen (MFE), and Brownsville (BRO) Airport Traffic Control Towers (ATCTs) This project includes but is not limited to: Corpus Christi (CRP) ATCT ?? Provide grounding for the future STARS equipment and GPS antenna ?? Improve the lightning protection for the ATCT ?? Installation of Articulated arms for STARS equipment in cab (structural work) ?? Paint/replacement of carpet and ceiling materials Harlingen (HRL) ATCT ?? Provide grounding for the future STARS equipment ?? Improve the lightning protection for the ATCT ?? Installation of carpet Government Furnished Materiel (GFM ) ?? Paint and minor modifications to cab. McAllen (MFE) ATCT ?? Provide grounding for the future STARS equipment ?? Improve the lightning protection for the ATCT ?? Provide electrical power for new air conditioning and condensing units. ?? Improve grounding to the facility ?? Replacement of one 7.5 ton a/c unit w/a 10 ton unit. Two additional 10 ton units in the cab need replacement. Brownsville (BRO) ATCT ?? Provide grounding for the future STARS equipment ?? Improve the lightning protection for the ATCT ?? Provide new lighting in the equipment room ?? Replacement of 3.5 ton a/c unit in the electronic room. ?? Exterior caulking of windows, some interior painting of walls and carpet replacement. All work to be accomplished in the sequence listed above. Price Range: $300,000 to $700,000 Open and Full Competition To be considered for award of this project the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: www.ccr.gov). This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
