Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Alaska VA Healthcare System and Regional Office will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-260-07-RP-0013 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), to procure Air Ambulance Service, within and from the state of Alaska, to transport critical care and designated step down patients, personnel and patient care equipment and supplies from remote clinics, hospitals and other VA designated facilities, not able to sustain needed care to designated medical facilities. Award will be made in the aggregate (all or none) based on the technically acceptable, lowest total evaluated price offered. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. Solicitation No VA-260-07-RP-0013 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about December 15, 2006 with a closing date of 30 days from the solicitation issuance date. The NAICS code for this procurement is 621910.  Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.       Interested offerors are advised to continuously check this URL for any changes to this solicitation.
