Description
HOTEL ROOMS FOR DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS DURING THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 17, 2007 THRU FEBRUARY 9, 2007 IN MILWAUKEE, WI. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for Hotel Accommodations and Hotel services located in the geographic area of Milwaukee, WI. The Department of Veterans Affairs is a federal agency and therefore exempt from any taxes. The tax exemption document will be provided upon award of the contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefit Administration, Office of Employee Development and Training will be participating in the Challenge 2007-2. The breakdown for hotel accommodations are estimated as follows; Wednesday 1/17 (3); Thursday 1/18 (3); Friday 1/19 (3); Saturday 1/20 (3); Sunday 1/21 (3); Monday 1/22 (33); Tuesday 1/23 (33); Wednesday 1/24 (33); Thursday 1/25 (33); Friday 1/26 (33); Saturday 1/27 (33); Sunday 1/28 (33); Monday 1/29 (33); Tuesday 1/30 (33); Wednesday 1/31 (33); Thursday 2/1 (33); Friday 2/2 (33); Saturday 2/3 (33); Sunday 2/4 (33); Monday 2/5 (33); Tuesday 2/6 (33); Wednesday 2/7 (33); Thursday 2/8 (33); and Friday 2/9 check out. Based on the breakdown described, the total rooms requested are 609 each. PAYMENTS FOR ROOMS SHALL BE VIA PURCHASE ORDER. These are the requirements for this solicitation; 1) government per diem rate or lower, 2) hotel must be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 3) hotel must be registered and current with Central Contractor Registration (CCR), 4) no penalty for rooms not used, 5) hotel must have a Duns and Bradstreet number, 6) hotel must have the availability to lodge all participants in one hotel, 7) can provide shuttle service to training site if distance is greater than 5 block-shuttle ride cannot exceed 15 miles one way and cannot exceed 30 minutes travel time one way (Training Site-VARO 5400 W. National Ave., Milwaukee, WI), 8) on site self laundry or within 3 blocks of a self-laundry, 9) microwaves and refrigerators in room or access to them, 10) multiple restaurant options on site (not fast food) or within 4 blocks of the hotel. All, the offerors must include the RFP number on their quote; otherwise your quote will be considered unresponsive. The website for CCR is www.ccr.gov. The specific instructions contained herein are intended to serve as a guideline for the preparation of the proposal. In developing the proposal, the Offeror shall comply with the requirements stated in the description. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD WITHOUT DISCUSSIONS. Therefore, each offeror is urged to examine this request for proposal in its entirety and to ensure that their proposal contains all necessary information, provides all required documentation, and is complete in all aspects. All submissions of proposals must be electronically using the email address in the previous sentence. The electronic copies shall be compatible with Microsoft Office 2003. All electronic proposals are due December 11, 2006, by 11:00AM, Eastern Standard Time. Electronic copies not delivered by the time and date specified shall be eliminated from further consideration. The Offeror shall certify that all files and electronic media have been checked for and are free of viruses. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Please complete the attached FAR Clause 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items and submit with your proposal.
