Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking sources for the design, development, fabrication, and testing of the Navy's new A/M32K-10 Munitions Trailer (P/N 3847AS100-1, NIIN 01-518-4037). The A/M32K-10 Munitions Trailer replaces the A/M32K-4A Munitions Trailer (67A219J1, NIIN 00-431-3826). The A/M32K-10 Munitions Trailer is to be used as ground support equipment for the United States Marine Corp (USMC) expeditionary airfields (EAF). The A/M32K-10 Munitions Trailer will be compatible with the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR), the prime mover, the A/S32A-45 Aircraft Tow Tractor, and the A/S32K-1 series Air Launched Weapons Loader. The prime mission of the A/M-32K-10 Munitions Trailer will be to transport air launched weapons ashore from a magazine/storage site to the aircraft flight lines as part of the support equipment for the USMC EAF. The program objective is to design, build, and provide the USMC with a high capacity, low maintenance, shore based rough terrain munitions trailer. This will also include stake racks and an electrical test box for testing the trailers 24V/12V system. Successful offeror will supply four preproduction units, integrated logistics support, training and technical data. The Navy may order up to twelve hundred productions units over the term of the contract. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil on or about 22 December 2006. Once there, select Doing Business and then select Open Solicitations. Be sure to monitor the website for amendments because hard copy solicitations and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. Final Drawing Package, Specification, and/or Statement of Work required will not be available until after release of the solicitation. Also, please be aware that the Government will not accept electronic offers. The point of contact for this effort is: Mr. Michael R. Sommeling, phone (732) 323-1077, facsimile: (732) 323-2359 or e-mail: michael.r.sommeling@navy.mil or Mr. Francis Hufnell, phone (732) 323-2902, facsimile: (732) 323-2359, e-mail: francis.hufnell@navy.mil.
