Description
Perform construction repair on approximately 1.9 miles of unimproved roads that includes erosion control work on 6 sites at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. The work includes CR-14 installation, road grading, aluminum pipe installation, seeding, and erosion control blanket installation. Major items of work include an approximate: 13 Acres of seeding; 18,000 S. Y. of erosion control blanket; 200 L.F. of 15 inch and 18 inch corrugated aluminum pipe; 7,000 Tons of CR-14 Rockfill; 2,300 L.F. of waterways; 3.3 Tons of supplemental fertilizer; 23 Tons supplemental lime; and 210 Tons of riprap, loose rock. Performance time is 103 calendar days (including mobilization). The estimated price is within the range of $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation is subject to full and open competition with preferences to SBA certified Hubzone concerns. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from the website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about December 14, 2006. Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid conference and site showing on January 4, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Participants are asked to meet in the conference room at Building 2562, Directorate of Logistics and Engineering, Engineer Road at Essayons Way, Fort Jackson, South Carolina. All visitors to Fort Jackson who do not have an appropriate military vehicle decal must enter the installation from Forest Drive at Gate No. 2 (take exit 12 from I-77). To obtain a visitor's pass, a visitor must advise the guard that he/she is attending a contract site showing at the Engineering Office, and present driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. The Anzio firing rang will be available for inspection only on the date of the scheduled site visit. Prospective bidders will not have access to that work site at any other time prior to the bid opening. After a brief meeting, a tour of the site will be held.
