- This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Parts 12 and 13). THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2 ? THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL. VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL QUOTES/PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFQ/RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. 45 CONS/LGCBB has a requirement for the purchase of a direct replacement Mitsubishi diesel engine. The replacement engine must bolt up to a Magnamax DVR 1680 KW 4160 volt alternator. The Mitsubishi diesel engine Part Number is S116RPTA. This is a brand name requirement. Delivery will be not later than 30 calendar days after receipt of an order. Diesel Engines other than the Mitsubishi diesel engine and delivery periods greater than 30 calendar days will be considered non-responsive. Patrick AFB Florida will be the delivery location. Period of performance/expected delivery date is 30 calendar days after receipt of an order. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Solicitation No. FA2521-07-T-0045 is issued as a Request for Quotation. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 5084, business size of 100 employees and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 423830. GSA Schedule holders for this item/service are encouraged to provide us with their GSA Schedule number. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about December 8, 2006 at www.fbo.gov. Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (321-494-5136), or e-mail.
