Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. One (1) TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR WIND TUNNEL TRANSONIC-SUPERSONIC TEST FOR CEV LAUNCH ABORT VEHICLE TESTING. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to December 11, 2006 at 11:00 am. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the due date for receipt of offers and to answer the following questions: Q1. What is the envisaged performance schedule? (I see delivery due 70 days ARO but I need to have an idea of the calendar period so that I can check on availability of my facility) A1: The performance schedule is due to start right after award. This means that testing should start in early January. We ideally would like to have data in hand by the end of January. 2. Estimated running load coefficients A: The total load is the sum of the coefficients in the plots for the LAV and the corresponding canard increments in the text file. The bidders should check, but the maximum aerodynamic coefficiets for the LAV with and without the canards are: LAV w/o canards: CAmax = 1.70; CNmax = 1.77; Cmmax = 0.35 . LAV with canards: CAmax = 1.70; CYmax = 1.84; CNmax = 1.90; Cmmax = 0.58; Crmax = 0.39 . Please see the attachments at (http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=21#122780 ) for more detailed information. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on December 11, 2006.
