Description
This is a Sources Sought Announcement and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, desires to identify vendors with the relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capability to perform investig ations in clamshell-surfaced driveways, driving areas, and clamshell stockpiles located in the DELMARVA Peninsula and Southern Coastal New Jersey. This sources sought synopsis will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The desired capabilities include but are not limited to MEC related investigative and intrusive techniques in clamshell paved areas, as well as the ability to simultaneously manage multiple teams performing work at multiple locations under Firm Fixed Price d terms. MEC includes unexploded ordnance (UXO), discarded military munitions (DMM), and munitions constituents (e.g., TNT, RDX) present in high enough concentrations to pose an explosive hazard. Interested sources should provide a narrative response limited to 5 pages in length which describes the company's qualifications in the MEC arena as well as experience performing MEC projects as prime contractor. The company should also provide a copy of its 8a and/or HUBZone certification letter as well as a copy of proof that the firm is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. There is no bid package or solicitation. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be ma de. All data received in response to this Sources Sought Notice marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the government. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are due not later than 2:00 p.m. E ST, January 4, 2007. Responses may be sent by mail, hand delivery, or e-mail.
