Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Thermo Electron North America LLC, 1400 Northpoint Parkway, Suite 50, West Palm Beach, FL 33407, for relocation services for two s cientific instruments manufactured by Thermo Finnigan: an LCQ DECA ion trap mass spectrometer and a TSQ Quantum triple quadrupole mass spectrometer, from Omaha, NE to Vicksburg, MS. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedure s (SAP) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to per form the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later that 4:30 CST on 8 December 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive b asis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response t o this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Judy.A.Anderson@mvk02.usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
