Description
The Contractor shall transport Government furnished cylinders, marked as containing refrigerant R-114, from the Defense Distribution Depot Richmond Virginia (DDRV); 57 lb. Cylinder (1141 CY), 165 lb. Cylinder (1185 CY), 1,360 lb. Cylinder (163 CY) and (212) empty 1,000 lb water capacity cylinders to be filled with the reclaimed product. The Contractor shall then weigh each cylinder, sample each cylinder and analyze the refrigerant in accordance with Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) Standard 700. The Contractor shall provide a detailed report of findings, segregate the cylinders at the Government?s direction in accordance with the results on the report, reclaim the material identified as meeting refrigerant chemical purity of 99.5% in accordance with ARI Standard 700, provide pallet weight computations, refurbish all Government furnished 1,000 pound water capacity cylinders, package the reclaimed R-114 in Government furnished 1,000 pound water capacity cylinders, mark cylinders in accordance with the latest revision of MIL-STD-129, obtain laboratory analysis on each filled cylinder of reclaimed R-114 and ship the filled, failed purity and empty cylinders back to DDRV. All work, except the loading/unloading of trucks, shall be performed at the Contractor?s facility or at one of the designated laboratories. Line Item 0001 is the work leading to and including the analysis with subsequent report and Line Item 0002 is the reclaiming, packaging and return of the product and return of failed purity and empty cylinders. No work is to be performed on Line Item 0002 until the Government has reviewed the reports provided in Line Item 0001 and the Government identifies the specific cylinders to be reclaimed accompanied with a notice to proceed. The required delivery date for Line Item 0001 is 180 days after receipt of the contract award and the required delivery date for Line Item 0002 is 120 days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The Government will provide a notice to proceed within 3 business days after receipt of an analysis report. The Contractor will make all shipping arrangements and pay all shipping charges associated with the pick-up and delivery of all material under this contract.
