Description

DESC: 1005-01-323-5406, Part Number 12929082, the item to procure is a Recoil Amplifier Assembly used on the M3 .50 Cal Recoil Amplifier. The Recoil Assembly consists of close tolerance machined parts. The barrel assembly material is barrel steel, grade 4160, (4) nuts, ring, (3) clamps, 0-Ring from various steels and (2) discriminators from molded plastic. Required on interior of barrel is chromium plating and phosphate finish on all parts. Each barrel assembly shall withstand the firing of one (1 ) Government M33 Cartridge without evidence of failure. The gun and test ammo will be provided by the Government. Contractors must comply with the requirements of DOD 5100.76-M, Safeguarding Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition and Explosives as speci fied in the Statement of Work which is an attachment in the solicitation. The proposed contract will include a 100 percent option. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is on or about 19 January 2007. THIS DATE IS JUST AN ESTIMATE. This solicitatio n will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is th erefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid open ing/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that will be provided via the internet, along with the solicitation.
