- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Provide labor, materials and travel to provide leadership development training to a maximum of 15 students. The contract will be a base year plus four option years. The training location will be the Mazzoli Federal Building in Louisville, KY. There will be occasional off-sites possible in the Louisville area. Course duration is 12 months. Class frequency is once per month, in 4-hour blocks, from 0800-1200 hours on a Thursday morning on 15 Mar 07, 12 Apr, 10 May, 14 Jun, 12 Jul, 09 Aug, 13 Sep, 11 Oct, 0 8 Nov, 13 Dec, 10 Jan 08 & 14 Feb 08. Course material will focus on development and reinforcement of leadership competencies. This will include required outside reading assignments (books, periodicals, etc.), with facilitated in-class discussions. Offer or will propose what types of reading assignments will be made and will be responsible for purchase of books or other literature for each student. In addition to assigned readings, the program must include purchase of the book NOW, DISCOVER YOUR STRENGTHS by Marcus Buckingham and Donald O. Clifton, Ph.D and copyrighted 2001 by Simon & Shuster (1 per student). Students will be required to take the on-line strength assessment (at Government expense) and will receive feedback and training throughout the progr am on development of their top themes/talents and improvement of their weaknesses. The leadership program will provide linkage to a mentoring program (in which Leadership Development Program participants are serving as mentees)to reinforce and supplement the strengths assessment and training aspects of the Leadership Development Program. Offerors should provide written documentation, detailing program content and format. Offerors should provide written description of credentials of program providers. Wr itten products must be provided in five copies. Offerors MAY be requested to provide an oral presentation of their program proposal. Offerors will provide reference contacts of past performance of similar programs. Award will be based on Best Value to the Government. Quotes, or proposals, will be evaluated based on program proposed, experience, past performance and price. When combined, all four factors are of equal importance. This is the entire Scope of Work.
