- DESCRIPTION: Provide the services of an ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) OEM authorized steam turbine repair company to refurbish accomplish the following work: A. Repair one Ship?s Service Turbine Generator rotor and diaphragm set to Class ?A? condition. Restore to design form, fit and function in accordance with OEM recommended methods and procedures to the satisfaction of the attending ABS Surveyor. B. Low speed dynamic balance the turbine rotor. C. High speed dynamic balance the refurbished turbine rotor at rated turbine speed. D. Provide the MSCREP and ABS Surveyor with a detailed repair report with photographic record of all repairs, repair procedures, material specifications and NDT tests and balance reports. E. Provide a set of special sized labyrinth diaphragm packing and springs to fit the refurbished rotor?s new and uniform undersized shaft diameter. F. Preserve, protect, crate and support the turbine rotor and diaphragms in the crate to provide a cradle and protect it from oxidation and damage. G. Surface ship the repaired and balanced rotor to MSCBATS upon completion of repairs. This requirement will be procured as a small business set-aside.
