- Description
- The purpose of this special notice, Request for Information (RFI), is to solicit feedback from industry on the Social Security Administration's (SSA) DRAFT Statement of Work (SoW), List of Exams and Background Information. All documents attached to this RFI are works-in-progress, not in final format. The DRAFT SoW, List of Exams, and Background Information outline SSA's requirements for administrative and Consultative Examination (CE) services in SSA's Boston Region (Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Vermont) in support of SSA's Disability Service Improvement (DSI) process. The services of administrative and medical professionals to coordinate and conduct specific SSA requested CEs, ancillary tests and laboratory studies are required in order to collect the necessary medical evidence, diagnosis, prognosis and other information, essential to the adjudication of a claimant's case as it pertains to the claimant's medically determinable impairment and ability to sustain substantial gainful activity. SSA is requesting industry questions and comments on its attached DRAFT SoW, List of Exams and the Background Information no later than 4:00 pm EST, Friday, December 8, 2006, via email only. Please review the DRAFT documents and advise on the following: (1) Are there any concerns or areas of uncertainty, which in your opinion, require clarification or correction? (2) Are SSA's requirements clear and explicable? (3) Where can improvements be made? (4) Do you have any other questions or comments? It is also requested that each email submission include, at a minimum, the following information: name, company (if applicable), address and, phone number. Additional information regarding SSA's website, Electronic Records Express (ERE) is available on CD upon request to viable, potential offerors. Upon request, SSA will mail the CD via USPS standard mail. SSA will collect and review all information submitted in response to this RFI for consideration in the FINAL SoW and other procurement documents. SSA may or may not respond directly to anyone submitting questions or feedback. SSA may contact the person or entity in order to gain an understanding of the submitted comment or question if deemed necessary. SSA expects to award a single or multiple firm-fixed-price contracts in response to its anticipated full and open competition. SSA anticipates releasing a presolicitation notice on FedBizopps in December 2006 and a solicitation shortly thereafter. This RFI does not constitute a request for proposals and submission of any information is purely voluntary. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked PROPRIETARY or CONFIDENTIAL will be handled accordingly.
