- The U.S. Coast Guard is looking for certified Small Business Set-Aside firms that may be interested and have the capabilities to perform dockside repairs to USCGC SHERMAN (WHEC 720), 378? high endurance, homeported in Alameda, California. The vessel?s availability is for fifty-two (52) calendar days, starting 01 May 2007 and ending 22 June 2007. The work will include, but is not limited to: production control GANTT Bar chart provide; tanks (lube oil stowage and service) clean; tanks (dirty and waste oil) clean and inspect; expansion joint renewal; inspect and test circuit breakers, 60 Hz; inspect and test circuit breakers, 400 Hz; vent ducts (engine and motor rooms) commercial cleaning; vent ducts (galley and pantry) commercial cleaning; vent ducts (laundry exhaust) commercial cleaning; firemain valve (>=2.5 inches) inspection and overhaul; firemain valves (<2.5 inches) renewal; magazine sprinklers valves, >=2.5 inches overhaul; counter measure wash down system maintenance; steam isolation valve overhaul (2-1/2 inches and greater); steam safety and relief valves overhaul test and set; compressed air receivers (all) clean, inspect and hydro, miscellaneous AFFF valve overhaul and renewals; commissary hoist (gen) level 2 inspect and repair; warping capstan (gen) level 2 inspect and repair; grey water holding tank(s) clean and inspect; sewage vacuum collection and seal water tanks clean and inspect; sewage piping clean and inspect; temporary services, dockside, home pier; main cargo trunk hatch replace and raise; boiler exhaust stack uptakes clean; SSDG exhaust stack uptakes commercial clean; tanks (sewage and gray water) preserve. The Total Small Business Set-Aside f firm must meet the requirements per the FAR 52.219-14. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees.
