Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-07-T-0034, applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This procurement is set aside for small business. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-45 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-19. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 8114420 and the business size standard is $6.5 million. Fleet Contracting Center, Mayport Fl intends to purchase on a full and open competitive basis refurbishment of, onehundredfiftyeight, existing auditorium theater style seats by providing and replacing approximately onehundredtwentyfive yards of commercial quality upholstery fabric, eleven upholstered sound board wall panels using approximately eithty four yards of material and replace existing stage drapes without lining using approximately sixtyseven yards of material. The refurbishment and upgrade shall accomplish an aesthetiaally pleasing appearance. Color and pattern choices to be determined by government point of contact. Performance shall include removal of existing seas, backs and seat frames. Removal process shall not damage the frames or the deck base mounts. Damages caused by removal shall be repaired and the full responsibility of the contractor at no additional reimbursement of the government. Removal of all wall panels from walls and stage drops from hanging hardware. All hardware shall remain in tact and not be removed from the auditorium. Retention is the responsibility of the government point of contact. The contractor shall provide a range of FIRE RETARDANT, soil resistant fabrics, as required by public safety regulations, to the NDSTC staff for selection. Measurements are the responsibility of the contractor. Contractor shall transport all items to manufacturing facility. Contractor shall replace seat springs and/or foam as needed, Cut, sew and install fabric on wall panels, cut, hem and pleat all stage drape panels. The contractor shall deliver all reupholstered items to the Auditorium, reassemble seats with backs onto deck mounts, secure to mounts. Contractor shall install wall panels and re-hang stage drapery panels. Completion of installation shall be approximately two weeks from date of award.
