- Project generally consists of, but is not limited to: 1. Remove and dispose of existing antenna array. Disconnect and remove cables and conduits between equipment shelter and antenna array. Demolish steel platform and concrete pier foundations. 2. Install ground check points for the localizer facility. 3. Perform required grading and earthwork for new antennas. 4. Install reinforced concrete foundation piers and pad for the localizer antenna array. 5. Install localizer antenna array including pedestals, antenna elements, raceway and distribution unit. 6. Install Earth Electrode System (EES) around the localizer antenna pad. 7. Install conduit and cabling between localizer antenna and existing equipment shelter. 8. Furnish and install 4" crushed aggregate surfacing with geoweb fabric for localizer shelter plot and new antenna array plot. Resurfacing existing access road between shelter and antenna array with approximately 2" of crushed aggregate. 9. Grass shall be established within first growing season. 10. Furnish and install a combined heating and air conditioning unit with thermostat in the existing equipment shelter. Remove and return existing A/C unit to the FAA. 11. Furnish competent surveying resources to properly layout subject sites and provide horizontal and vertical controls. 12. Implement and maintain a quality control plan to ensure contract compliance. Conduct all required tests and checks to verify contract compliance. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
