Description
Property offered for exchange consists of sixteen R-1820-80A, four R-1820-82B, six R-1820-84C, one R-1820-90A, one R-2800-52W and one R-2800-99 radial engines owned by the National Museum of the United States Air Force (NMUSAF) and located at Davis Monthan AFB AZ. Inspection of the engines and records prior to submitting a proposal is strongly recommended. All proposals should be submitted using the proposal form provided. Any engines listed on the proposal form that you do not want to submit a proposal on should have N/A placed in the column labeled Exchange Dollar Value Proposal. The times listed in this solicitation have not been verified and cannot be guaranteed by the NMUSAF to be accurate. The Bidder is invited, urged, and cautioned to inspect the property prior to submitting an exchange bid. Property and records will be available for inspection at Davis Monthan AFB AZ from January 29 thru February 2 by appointment only. Please contact Barbara Young at 937-255-5174 ext 375 to set an appointment time and date. These are the only inspection dates. Arrangements have been made to bring the engines in out of the storage area and open the cans. They will only be available during this week. CLOSING DATE/TIME: 8 Feb 07 All proposals must be received by 1600 hours local on 8 Feb 07. Proposals must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as follows: ?NMUSAF 06-002, Due: 8 Feb 07 at 1600 hours? Proposals should be submitted on the proposal form provided in this package and signed by an authorized representative. Proposals must be valid for a nine-month period commencing on 8 Feb 07. Proposals must be accompanied by a completed DLA Form 1822, ?End Use Certificate?. (A copy of this certificate and instructions for completion may be obtained via the internet at: http://www.demil.osd.mil/demil_disposal_guidance.asp http://www.drms.dla.mil/newsales/html/bidding_forms.html or by request from NMUSAF/MUX Telephonic (including fax) and telegraphic proposals are not acceptable. Proposals may be modified or withdrawn prior to the closing date by written notice and a proposal also may be withdrawn in person by a Bidder or his/her authorized representative, provided his/her identity is made known and he/she signs a receipt for the proposal. Proposals and modifications or withdrawals thereof, must be in the possession of the NMUSAF prior to 1600 Hours, 8 Feb 07. Any proposal, modification or withdrawal received after 1600 Hours, 8 Feb 07 will not be considered.
