Description

The Corps of Engineers has a need for an IDIQ contract for Marine Services and Construction for Navigation and Flood Control Facilities for the Pittsburgh District and Great Lakes and Ohio River Division Projects. The work consists of various types of river dredging, hydrographic surveys, diving services, marine construction activities, fleet services and rental of boats and marine equipment. The work will be performed at various locations within the geographic boundaries or mission assignments of t he Great Lakes and Ohio River Division. The majority of these efforts shall be conducted within the boundaries of the Pittsburgh District. This solicitation requires river fleet service activities and administration services on the part of the successful bidder. The period of performance will be a base period, 12 twelve months and 4 four option periods. Pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program established by Public Law 100-656, Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 198 8, this procurement will be unrestricted and any resulting award will be made pursuant to the above program. The Invitation for Bid will be issued approximately December 28, 2006 online only through FedTeDS; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the speci fications will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation through FedTeDS at http://www.fedteds.gov. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download the solicitation and drawings on or after the above issuance date.
