Abert, Contract Specialist, Phone: (813) 828-4724; Fax (813) 828-5111, Email: daniel.abert@macdill.af.mil DESC: JCSE at MacDill Air Force Base, FL is requesting information that may lead to the procurement of training for 12 personnel on 12-16 February 2007 in the installation, operation and maintenance of CISCO Call Manager for Command and Control. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought Synopsis) is to determine if CISCO Call Manager for Command and Control training is commercially available. CISCO Call Manager for Command and Control training must support the following requirements: The training must support the fielded elements of SC2IP packages. This course was developed jointly with CISCO Technologies and the Department of Defense (DOD) for teaching military personnel to connect to the Defense Switch Network (DSN) and teach the PBX-1 certification process. The course must teach the Multi Level Precedence and Preemption (MLPP) required for DSN. All equipment for hands on training, both hardware and software to include training materials for 12 students must be provided by the vendor for training on February 12-16, 2007 in the JCSE, MacDill AFB, Florida training lab. Pre and Post assessment tests to evaluate student skill sets must be administered. Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company?s full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the item the government is seeking.. Final responses to this RFI will be due on 15 December 2006, 1200 EST. Responses will be reviewed and may result in further clarifications to further explore commercial capabilities with selected respondents. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
