- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has a requirement for Open-Link, Welded Steel Chain and Bridles for use as mooring aids-to-navigation buoys in the coastal and inland waters of the United States. The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, labor, equipment, facilities and supervision to fabricate and ship carbon steel large-size buoy chain (1” to 2 ¼ “) and bridles. This is an unrestricted (full and open) procurement. The Applicable NAICS code is 332111 with a size standard of 500 employees. The Solicitation in its Entirety and any Amendments will be available online at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov under the above solicitation number, on or about 24 August 2006. All prospective Contractors that have an interest in and capabilities to provide the required supplies must respond in accordance with the Invitation for Bid (IFB), to be posted at the above-mentioned website. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by this agency. Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled for 25 September 2006. Contractors are encouraged to register for this solicitation at this website to receive e-mail notifications of postings. To receive immediate notification of all changes posted electronically, contractors should click on [Register to Receive Notification]. All contractors interested in teaming or subcontracting for this solicitation, should click on [View List of Interested Vendors]. In order to view the Bidder List, all interested parties should click on [View List of Interested Vendors]. No telephone or written requests for this solicitation will be accepted, as hard copies are not available. Interested parties submitting a bid must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.232-33. CCR can be accessed via the internet at www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-800-227-2423. Any correspondence concerning the solicitation shall reference HSCG23-06-B-ECB000.
