Description

This procurement is set aside 100% for Small Business. Six (6) Heavy Standard or Restricted category Type I Helitanker helicopters. Helicopters shall be equipped with fixed Suppressant/Retardant delivery tank. Fixed tank systems proposed for use under this solicitation shall meet the requirements of the Interagency Air Tanker Board (IATB) and shall be in compliance with the IATB approval procedures at least 45 days before start of the availability period. Primary use is for fire fighting. Aircraft will be based at the following locations: (1) Prescott, AZ, estimated contract period from April 16, 2007 through July 14, 2007; (2) Ely, MN, estimated contract period from May 17, 2007 through June 15, 2007; Broomfield, CO estimated contract period from June 19, 2007 through August 17, 2007: (3) San Bernardino, CA, estimated contract period from July 16, 2007 through October 13, 2007; (4) Hemet, CA, estimated contract period from July 16, 2007 through October 13, 2007. (5) Van Nuys, CA, estimated contract period from July 16, 2007 through October 13, 2007. (6) La Grande, OR, estimated contract period from July 16, 2007 through October 13, 2007. Contract duration for all items is one year from date of award, with the possibility of 2 one-year renewal periods. The Government reserves the right to award any combination of items based on funding availability. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. See Numbered Notes 1 and 26.
