The National Airspace System (NAS) has adopted the use of ITWS, a fully automated, integrated weather systems designed to improve the safety, efficiency, and capacity of aviation terminal operations. The basis of the system is to provide aviation oriented weather products to ATC personnel. The required items were integrated with the ITWS network when the system was initially prototyped. It has been determined that new parts for the ITWS are in limited supply or non-existent. Refurbished or alternate Sun Microsystems parts are acceptable. The status 'new or refurbished' condition of parts is required on the RFQ. Expected delivery dates of each item listed are also required on the RFQ. This procurement is fixed-firm-priced, Small Business Set-Aside. A Purchase Order will be awarded as a result of this RFQ. Award will be made to the lowest responsible offer. FOB Destination shipping is required. The FAA will accept partial shipment. A one-year warranty is required on item numbers 3 and 14.
