Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Boise Idaho is soliciting for contract a contractor to provide complete inspections, testing, and maintenance and repair services for the Edwards EST 3 Fire Alarm System installed throughout the entire campus. The following are the basic certifications the Government is requiring. The Contractor shall provide, a minimum of two technicians that are EST 3 Fire Alarm System trained and certified, and a minimum of one EST Fireworks Graphic Annunciation System factory trained and certified technician. Certified technicians must have the EST 3 software key and software program to access the Edwards System at the VA Medical Center, Boise, Idaho. The Contractor shall provide a minimum of one employee that is NICET 3 trained so that any fire alarm design work that may need to be completed would meet with NFPA 72, Section 4.3.2 (2), 2002 edition. The Contractor shall be a current EST Strategic Partner (authorized distributor). The Contractor must be able to respond physically to the site, after call, within 4 hours. Phone calls must be answered 24 hours per day, seven days per week within 2 hours of message or call. The Contractor is required to have an office located physically within a 100 mile radius of the Boise VA Medical Center. All interested parties should contact Ms. Pamela Pope @ pam.pope@med.va.gov, by close of business on December 29, 2006, 4:00 PM, MST. Your response should identify your company name, point of contact with contact information as well as your business size and type of any of the following: small business, 8(a) disadvantaged, disadvantaged, woman-owned, veteran owned, service disabled veteran owned or HUB zone certified. The Governments intent is to contract for a base year and four option years. The NAICS for the procurement is 561621. A request for quote will be issued at a later date.
