- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the following: Qty: 1 Unit: EA Description: High Intensity Power Q-Switched Laser The requirement has the following specifications: ? High Intensity Peak Power Oscillator diode-pumped solid state Q-switched laser. ? The laser is a Nd: YV04 with a wavelength of 1064nm. ? The laser system must have interchangeable frequency conversion modules that enable the user to change the laser output between 1064nm, 532 nm, 355nm and 266nm. ? The laser shall have power rated at 17 W at 50kHz, built in power monitor and electo-mechanical shutter, beam quality (M2) of less than 1.2, repetition rate of 15-300kHz, pulse width of less than 15ns at 50kHz, polarization of greater than 100:1 vertical, beam diameter (at waist) of 0.6mm (nominal), beam divergence (full angle) of less than 3.0 mrad, beam ellipticity of less than 10%, beam pointing of less than +/-50 urad/oC, and a pulse-to-pulse stability of less than 2% rms. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing to Candis.J.Edwards-Duncan@nasa.gov via e-mail no later than December 22, 2006. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
