Description
This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. There is no solicitation package available at this time. Battelle, Pacific Northwest Division, operator of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is seeking sources to supply a dedicated Metabolomics 600 LC-NMR Spectrometer System for use at the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory. We are looking for potential sources for this requirement and comments to our draft specifications. Draft specifications may be downloaded from this website. All interested parties should send company?s capability, descriptive literature, cost estimate and comments to the primary point of contact. All questions and comments must be in writing, email is acceptable, no telephone calls. We will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will we compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to us. This system would be dedicated to the field of metabonomics, a rapidly growing area of research with much user interest, both inside and outside PNNL. System would be a workhorse enabling accurate lineshape deconvolution and analysis of biomarkers in complex mixtures. LC NMR samples of metabolites would be compared with LC Mass Spec results. This combination approach would make the overall capability more powerful than either NMR or Mass Soec alone. The cold-probe capability would expand sensitivity of system to enable detection of trace metabolites/compounds. Two cold probes, one optimized for 1H detection and the other for 13C detection would be a great advantage for metabonomic users.
