Description

This is a notice of intent to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 with Dictaphone, A Division of Nuance, 3984 Pepsi Cola Drive, Melbourne, FL 32934-9219 for a one year contract for service and maintenance for all dictation and transcription hardware and software and all peripherals that are linked to the dictation system for the Department of Veterans Healthcare Network, Upstate New York. The NAICS code is 811212 with a size standard of 23.0 million. This procurement is based on the determination that the government's minimum needs can best be satisfied as a sole source requirement available from only one source. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to provide this service and maintenance by responding to mary.betker@va.gov no later than December 20, 2006 at 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone requests accepted.
