Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NAICS Code for this requirement is 339113. The U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Synthes for various surgical items. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Point of Contact (POC). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Quotes must be submitted to the POC no later than Dec 21, 2006; 12 PM; Japan Standard Time. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan will proceed with the sole source procurement.
