Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division has a requirement for quantity 5,000 feet of part number VE3452/2-37XA (37 Twisted-Pair, Double-Shielded Cable, Low-Smoke, Zero Halogen) and 98,300 feet of part number VE3452/1-1X (2 conductor Double-Shielded Cable, Low-Smoke, Zero Halogen). The cable is required to support the United States Navy AN/BQQ-10(V) Sonar System and will be procured from Vermillion, Incorporated, 4754 South Palisade, Wichita, KS under the authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The drawings and specifications for the cables are owned by Vermillion; the Government does not own a technical package that would allow for full and open competition. Delivery for partial quantities of each cable is required by 1 March 2007 and final delivery of both cables is required by 1 August 2007, FoB destination with inspection and acceptance at destination. An existing contract with Vermillion, Incorporated will be modified to incorporate the r equirements; therefore a solicitation will not be processed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Questions should be directed to Ms. Diane Pearson at telephone 812-854-5201, fax 812-854-3805, or e-mail diane.pearson@navy.mil (preferred method).
