Description
This is notice that Naval Special Warfare Group One, San Diego, CA intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price contract to AM General LLC 105 N. Niles Avenue South Bend, IN 46617 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 for HMMWV Battle Damage Assessment and Repair Course (BDAR) . This notice is not a Request for offers. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notice will be used to determine if bona fide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical and pricing information. The Government will not pay for any information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on respones to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Numbered Note 22. All responses must be received not later than 2:00 PM PST December 29, 2006. No extensions will be granted. SIC: 8299 NAICS: 611519 The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through FAC 2005-9 Description: Battle Assessment and Repair Course (BDAR) Provide specific training to include HMMWV systems operations familiarization, mechanical trouble, battle damage assessment, field expedient emergency repair and manual bypass of various critical HMMWV systems that are not covered in field manuals or technical manuals. Forty (40) hour curriculum, conducted over 5 days, 12 students per course total of 60 trained students (30 West Coast, 30 East Coast).
