Description
This is notice that Naval Special Warfare Group One, San Diego, CA intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price contract to AM General, LLC 105 N. Niles Avenue South Bend, IN 46617 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 for AM General Advanced Mobility/Operator Training Program. This notice is not a request for offers. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notice will be uses to determine if bona fide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical and pricing information. The Government will not pay for any information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Numbered Note 22. All responses must be received not later than 2:00 PM PST December 29, 2006. No extensions will be granted. SIC: 8299 NAICS: 611519 Description: Item No. 0001 Direct Support Level Maintenance Training covers repair of all major components including the engine, transmission, transfer case and differentials at the DS level. Minor components will be overhauled. Electrical components will be tested, removed, disassembled, inspected and repaired. Troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems and components will be covered in detail. Length of course: Ten (10) days, (8) eight hours per day Period of Performance: 15-26 January 2007, 29 January-09 February 2007, 19 February-02 March 2007, 12 March - 23 March 2007, 16 April - 27 April 2007, 07 May-18 May 2007, 04 June - 15 June 2007, and 16 July -27 July 2007 No of students: 3 Item No. 0002 Advanced Mobility/Maintenance/BDAR training program consists of vehicle systems and operations, highway driving, off-road/cross-country advanced mobility driving techniques, driving under unusual conditions, vehicle field recovery/BDAR procedures using the on-board winch and winch accessory kit, operator troubleshooting procedures and operator (PMCS), preventative maintenance checks and services. Length of course: (1) week , eight (8) hours per day Period of Performance: 30 April ? 04 May 2007, 04 June ? 08 June 2007, 09 July ? 13 July 2007, 30 July ? 03 August 2007, 06 August ? 10 August 2007. No. of students: 4 Item No. 0003 4L80E Transmission & Electrical Systems Training: Direct/General Support will be conducted on disassembly, diagnostics, inspection, cleaning, testing, re-assembly and final inspection of the 4L80E transmission. System diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair and replacement procedures will be taught for the transmission and related components and systems. The use and care of special tools will be covered. Length of course: four (4) days, eight (8) hours per day. Period of Performance: 10 April ? 13 April 2007, 04 ? 07 September 2007 Item No. 0004 Air Conditioning Diagnostics/Servicing/Repair Training: Direct/General Support Level System diagnostic/troubleshooting, repair and replacement procedures will be taught for the complete air conditioning system. Additionally, use and care of special tools will be taught. Length of course: Three (3) days, eight (8) days per day No. of students: 4 Period of Performance: 08 January ? 10 Jaunary 2007, 10 April ? 12 April 2007.
