Description
The purpose of this amendment is to respond to the following questions: 1.) Question: Do you want one interpreter or two interpreters for each event? Response: The standard practice is that there are two interpreters for an 8 hour day. There will only be one group for all Spanish speakers per day. 2.) Question: Is there a specific location that these meetings will take place? Response: Yes ? The Holiday Inn Town Lake. The address is 20 N. I-H 35, Austin, TX 78701. 3.) Question: If they meet at a specific hotel then the interpreters could stay there and know how much to pay for a room. Response: The interpreters would have to contact the hotel directly. The hotel phone number is 512.634.1250. 4.) Question: Can you confirm that all five (5) events outlined in the solicitation are to take place in Austin, Texas? Response: Yes ? all five events will take place at the Holiday Inn Town Lake Hotel in Austin, Texas. 5.) Question: The solicitation states ?translating equipment will be provided by the Corporation?; can you please outline what kind of equipment this is? Response: The Corporation for National and Community Services will be using the Williams Sound System for translating. 6.) Question: Does the equipment ?provided by the Corporation? include the headsets for non-English speaking participants? Response: Yes ? the Corporation will provide headsets for non-English speaking participants. 7.) Question: Based on the schedule included in the solicitation, it is not clear if all events are taking place in the same room, can you please confirm if this is the case? Response: Yes ? the Spanish speakers will be in the same grouping each day. 8.) Question: Will the lunch breaks require interpreters? Response: No ? lunch breaks will not require interpreters. 9.) Question: Approximately how many monolingual Spanish-speaking individuals will participate in the five events? Response: Approximately 5-10 monolingual Spanish-speaking individuals will participate in the five events. 10.) Question: Approximately how many breakout sessions will there be each day? Response: There will be approximately three general sessions. Spanish speakers will be in the same grouping each day. 11.) Question: Will the monolingual Spanish-speakers be in a group by themselves or will groups comprise both English speakers and non English speakers? Response: The groups will be comprised of both English and non-English speakers. 12.) Question: How many transmitters and how many receivers are available? Response: There will be approximately 50 transmitters and receivers available. 13.) Question: Are the monolingual Spanish-speakers from different countries or are they mostly Mexican Americans? Response: The monolingual Spanish-speakers are mostly Mexican Americans. 14.) Question: I am preparing a response for the above cited solicitation and I have a question regarding the complete copy of 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications that needs to be submitted with our proposal. The copy I have been able to download is titled ?52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items MAR 2005.? Is this the correct version or is there a more recent version and if so could you please advise where I can locate it.
