Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source procurement with The math Works, Inc, under authority of FAR subsection 13.106-1(b). This procurement is for the software license for continued support the the NIST Gaithersburg and Boulder facility. The Matlab software/license is proprietary to the The Math Works and solely distributed by the The Math Works. Inc. The NAICS code is 519190. The Government is unaware of any other source that can provide the required software license requested. Award to any other source would result in a substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through Competition., NIST intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price purchase orde to Math Works Inx. for this purchase unless other sources are identified before response date to this posting. The Period of Performance shall be for one year starting January 1, 2007 throught December 31, 2007.
