Description

The National Archives and Rcords Administration intends to award a competitve 8(a)contract for Operation, Maintenance and Repair Services at the Franklin D Roosevelt Library. Offers are solicited only from small business concerns expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The NAICS code for this requirement is 561790. The Franklin D Roosevelt Presidential Library complex is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, which operates presidential libraries across the country. This library is the nation's first presidential library, and the only presidential library ever to be used by a sitting president. The building is open to the public 362 days a year, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Days. During the course of a year, approximately 185,000 visitors will view the museum galleries and exhibits on the lives of the late President and First Lady. It is anticipated that during the performance of this contract the Franklin D Roosevelt Presidential Library will undergo construction/reconstruction that may partially or completely close the Library for an indefinite timeframe. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) which will be attached to this notice. The RFP closing date and time is January 31, 2007, 4:00 EST. All questions must be submitted two (2)weeks prior to the closing date of January 31, 2007, 4:00 EST. A site visit is recommended, the date and time are stipulated in the RFP.
