Description

The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Life Cycle Management(CE-LCMC) and Program Manager, Night Vision Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (PM/RSTA) Fort Belvoir, VA and Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) is intending to procure th e Dismounted Battery Box (DBB) NSN 6160014943671 used with the Long Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3) on a sole source basis from Bren-Tronics, 10 Brayton Court, Commak, NY 11725. The Army requires Dismount Battery Boxes (DBBs) to suppor t the fielding of the LRAS3. The DBBs are a component part of the LRAS3 and each system is supplied with two. The DBB is covered by a performance specification only, which specifies full environmental parameters to include high altitude electromagnetic p ulse and electromagnetic interference (EMI) requirements. First time manufacturers must successfully pass a First Article Test on a minimum of three units. There is no TDP available for the DBB. Projected quantities of DBB to be purchased is 181 with a 10 0% option. Formal Solicitation to follow. The projected Dismount Battery Box quantities are as follows: 2007 Aug 26 Sept 26 Oct 26 Nov 26 Dec 26 2008 Jan 26 Feb 25 To be considered fully qualified a prospective supplier will need to meet the delivery quantities plus all possible surge needs.
