Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Waters Corporation, 34 Maple Street Milford, MA 01757 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting From a Single Source, for a Total Assurance Plan to include the following: unlimited comprehensive service coverage for TAP Quattro Micro (1 PM) visit, Masslynx, MassLynx Software 1 Year Plan, TAP 2690/2695 SYS (1PM), Waters Software Basic Plan Personal, TAP 2996 PDA DET (1PM), for an existing Quattro Micro Mass Spectrometer. The MicroMass Division of Waters Corporation is the manufacturer of the Quattro Micro Mass Spectrometer and the maintenance is proprietary to Waters Corporation. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about January 1, 2007. The maintenance and support period will begin January 1, 2007 for three (3) years. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
