Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this procurement is FA4803-07-Q-A049 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-14, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement Change Notice (DCN) 20061201 and Air Force Acquisition Circular (AFAC) 2006-1003. For informational purposes the North American Industry Classification System code is 562998 Vent Hoods Cleaning. This acquisition is full and open Small Business. This is a firm-fixed price procurement and will be procured using commercial item procedures and award selection will be made base on price. This will be award as a Basic Period with four (4) one year Options. Requirement is for Maintenance of Vent Hoods at Shaw AFB South Carolina. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials and other items necessary to perform cleaning of kitchen exhaust systems. The contractor shall perform cleaning in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 96, Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations, 2004 Edition, article 11.4 ? 11.4.14, and Table 3. Cleaning shall include removal and re-installation of fan motors as required to clean the exhaust hood and ventilation system. Use non-corrosive solvents and environmentally friendly cleaning material. Work area shall be clean and debris free when work is complete. The following Ventilation Systems shall be cleaned monthly between the 1st and 15th of each month: Building 823, Burger King, one system; Building 1401, Bowling Alley, one system; and Building 2799, Golf Course, one system. The following Ventilation Systems shall be cleaned semiannually during the months of December and June: Building 417, Dining Facility, six (six) systems; Building 922, Carolina Skies Club, two (2) systems; and Building 1402, Club Shaw, two (2) systems. The following Ventilation Systems shall be cleaned annually in the month of June: Building 407, Zone 1 Dorm, one system; Building 408, Zone 1 Dorm, one system; Building 409, Zone 1 Dorm, one system; Building 903, Zone 3 Dorm, one system; Building 2444, Youth Center, one system; and Building 2449, Child Development Center, one system. The contractor shall insure system is certified and in a serviceable safe operating condition. Certificate of inspection cleaning shall be submitted to 20th Civil Engineering (20th CES) fire prevention office within forty eight (48) hours of service being performed. The fire inspector shall be notified after the cleaning service is completed. The Hood & Duct checklist shall be signed by the fire inspector before cleaning -up is authorized. The contractor shall submit a cleaning schedule via phone, fax or e-mail to the Fire Prevention Element within 72 hours prior to commencement of work. The contractor shall notify the fire alarm communication center (803) 895-1108/09 at the specific facility location prior to and upon completion of work. If possible, all work shall be performed between the normal duty hours of 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, excluding US Government holidays. Exceptions will be coordinated with Fire Prevention Element personnel via submitted cleaning schedule.
