- Destination: Tinker Air Force Base, OK 73145-3020 The approximate issue date for solicitation is 3 Jan 2007 and response date is 3 Feb2007. The anticipated award date of this contract will be 3 Mar 2007. The acquisition is to purchase 10 ea Actuator Remote Terminal, P/N A78200-44, NSN: 1680-01-441-5288 FW These assemblies are applicable to the B-2 Bomber. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation through FedBizOpps at http://www.fbo.gov/. Faxed Solicitation requests can be submitted to 848th CBSG/PKA ATTN: Jerry Vann, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3015, FAX NUMBER: (405) 739-2817. E-mail jerry.vann@tinker.af.mil. No telephone requests. Only written, faxed, or electronic requests received directly from the requester are acceptable. The drawings and data in the Governments possession associated with these items are source controlled or selected item drawings as defined by the current version of DOD-STD-100. It specifies a configuration without details of internal construction. This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source specified on the source control drawing a-78200-44. additional sources require engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the item. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms listed on the source control drawing: BaE Systems aircraft Controls, Inc. (MFC 07690) and Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. (MFC 01W025) AUTHORITY: 10 USC 2304(C)(1), JUSTIFICATION: SUPPLIES (OR SERVICES) REQUIRED ARE AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE OR A LIMITED NUMBER OF RESPONSIBLE SOURCE(S) AND NO OTHER TYPE OF SUPPLIES OR SERVICES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call Ombudsman at (405) 736-3273.
